What is the Kitchen Sādhana?

Like Yoga, a ritual of daily chanting, or tending to your altar, the Kitchen Sādhana, originally introduced to me through the work of Mother Maya Tiwari, is a sacred practice of connecting to the food that will become a part of you upon digestion, and preparing it with ritual and reverence.

Kitchen Sādhana is a continuous daily current of medicinal nourishment for the mother. I cook them in energetic alignment and with ritual, from my family kitchen - so I essentially do the 'Sadhana' for you until you are ready to return to yours.

How I cook? The churnas, biodynamic botanical elements, culinary herb selection and the principles of postnatal nutrition are all rooted in Āyurveda. The dishes themselves, however, are an extension of who I am as a practitioner. Experimental, with research on nutritional psychiatry in mind, and non-conventional. So less like grandma's kitchen, and more like an apothecary of culinary medicine.

I can not wait to fill your plates! Love, Deborah Rose
